TAYLORS CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004
A$17.95 RRP You pay A$17.45
Region:Clare Valley SAWine Colour:Deep red with a purple hue. This colour will develop into more classic brick red tones with age. Wine Bouquet:The aromas are undeniably varietal Cabernet Sauvignon. Cinnamon spice cloves and chocolate abound with sweet juicy black berry fruit. Complex slightly savory elements are also present with rich cassis intertwine with tobacco and cedar from maturation in French oak.Wine Palate:This is a wine of considerable generosity. The palate has abundant sweet fruit which is juicy and full in character suggesting a vintage of substantial quality. The classic hallmarks of Cabernet Sauvignon characters are evident - ripe berry fruit cassis perfume cinnamon spice and tobacco along with fine-grained tannins.Suggested Food Matching:Red wine glazed lamb back strap served with char-grilled capsicum and eggplant. Mature cheddar cheese and unsalted nuts.Reviews: GÇ£This (wine) offers considerable value as a lot of wines selling for $20 donGÇÖt have the varietal definition of the Taylors. The aroma and palate shows chocolate mint and currants with well integrated oak and drying powdery tannins. This one will cellar well for a number of years.GÇ¥ David Cumming Central Western Daily (AUS) 20th April 2006. GÇ£The palate is quite impeccable: gravelly curranty warm and tannic. This is a serious wine at a non-serious price. If you like varietal cabernet itGÇÖs a no-brainer: itGÇÖs a by-the-case purchase.GÇ¥89 Points. Campbell Mattinson Winefront (AUS) 12th April 2006. GÇ£Showing plenty of rich black berry fruit flavour laced with some sweet spice and dark chocolate this is remarkably approachable for such a youngster and represents good value for money.GÇ¥ 4/5 Paddy Kendler Herald Sun (AUS) 9th May 2006
